I am a beginner and I am learning from the htb academy. Since there are some excercises and the pwnbox has 1 spawn per day I was thinking about installing Parrot OS. I know that the proper way is to use VM. However I have an old laptop with 8gbs of ram. That means having linux on top of windows will affect the speed of basically everything I will try to do. I ended ul dual booting windows with linux. I know it is an issue when it comes to safety as it isnt an isolated environment but is this a big problem? Should I buy a better laptop?
