Google published a white paper outlining how they used a quantum conputer and modified Shor’s algorithm to break 256-bit elliptic curve cryptography. The same type of cryptography used to protect your bitcoin and bank data.
They accomplished this with only 500,000 physical cubits when the original estimate was 9,000,000. This means they cracked it with 18 times less hardware.
They found a way to run these circuits in just ~9 minutes. This is very significant because bitcoin blocks take about 10 minutes to confirm. Meaning theoretically, an attacker could intercept your transaction, derive your private key, and front run your payment before the payment even hits the ledger.
Google hasn’t published the gate-by-gate circuits out of fear this will be used to break cryptography much sooner than we can prepare for. Instead, they published a zero-knowledge proof to prove the math is real without showing how to replicate it.

imo no, but tbf my jellyfin instance is hosted in my lab
and my lab is pretty beefy
so streaming Berserk and Akira locally is way faster and in higher quality than any stream site I might or might not find
