Yea parrot 7 broke some things, mainly ruby and python related (dependency issues since some of the dependencies were removed/deprecated from debian). Regarding Nvidia support, linux usually doesn't play well with it (I'm sure you know this already lol), parrot is based on debian stable so things are worse compared to kali in that regard.

If there are specific repo issues you are facing, please let me know. I'm a parrotOS contributor so I might be able to fix them

It was literally python related but it also kept throwing errors for basic upgrades. I pivoted to Kali already and it was able to build the files for my GPU just fine. I'm actually trying a season machine on HTB for the first time. All is going well.

Keep in mind that I also have a PC from a bs manufacturer and I can't wait to decommission it. It might not even just be parrots fault. It could be my hardware.
