almost every single AI company is building AI to find vulnerabilities at this moment. it's very common theme. most of them suck. I also have build one such AI platform on my free time. and it also sucks. the technology is still pretty far from being effective and reliable even on entry level bugs, unless you start off with huge amounts of resources to burn. the real issue there is efficiency. smaller llms simply don't have the necessary reasoning capability. larger ones are extremely costly to run at the scale you need for vulnerability analysis.
so 99% of those ventures will crash and burn
but I guess it's fun to run on VC capital for a while until they drop financing lol

You may find the content harder than what you are used to with THM, though.

Okay Linux is fundamentally a kernel. A kernel is a piece of software that communicates with the hardware and manages everything for you. You you run stuff on top of the kernel. The kernel sits between the program and the cpu, ram, and all that. An OS is just a list of programs like that on top of a kernel.
So desktop Linux is just the Linux kernel and software on top of it.
Fyi: the Linux kernel is also used in android smartphones, and OS on top is android.

Yeah, if you can use one distro, you can pretty much use them all. Some distros are more 'stable', in that they have long cycles between releases, but focus on stability. Others opt for bleeding edge packages, which means you get all the shiny new stuff faster, but there may be complications.
