To learn you need base of something you can't learn blindly of course but for example your box you were doing archetype it is about smb and winrm if I recall correctly you find out there's smb server okay now learn about that what is smb can you log in anonymously and list shares and whatnot and then the other part you will learn also something new after you get in the box to get administrator and then don't stop until you can do it. This is easy on hackthebox because you are 100% certain there is something but carry that mindset over to pentests/bug bountie whatever because most likely there is also something
