You can start with the CWES or CPTS paths. If you have no experience you could do the information security foundations and the Operating Systems Fundamentals. If you have no IT background I recommend learning how any operating system works and how things communicate over a network. Exploring into things helps a lot too. Find a concept you don't understand, go research it. If you can figure out how things fundamentally work, it's easier to make them do things they were not intended to do

See if you can use your school account to get a discount on the academy. That'll give you access, I think, to the CPTS and CWES path. Just kind of jump in and guage where you're at. Then once you notice where you are weak you can adjust your learning from there. There's really no set path, but the more you can understand what is happening under the hood of things the easier it'll be. That's my best advice.

Kind of like not knowing what a rubics cube is and then someone throwing it at you and going, "solve this". You end up just moving the pieces around until you kind of get an idea. That or you go and put in some research to figure out the goal of this new thing that has been thrown at you and the best ways to solve it
