ive been happy with ubuntu, mostly. i had deb crash for the third time across 2-3 devices in as many years around july of 2024 and for some reason this old ass tower i have, it kept failing to install deb over usb prob a NONFREE network drivers issue, and ubuntu was the only thing that would run

did i screw up not attempting to install popos or linux mint in retrospect? again, absolutely yes but ubuntu was the "mint" of my era of distro hopping so it just wasnt top of mind

nvm my shell works it genuinely just takes like 5 minutes per command
