I'm a bit in the same boat (but somewhat along the path now) and the best advice I currently know of is this:

Red Teaming as an actual function is a pretty advanced placement, its difficult, typically contracted (from my understanding), and made up of veteran hackers. With that in mind, Red Teaming is a long-term goal!

You'll want to start with the basics, get your network and web knowledge down, work on writing basic scripts, and go for a shallow and widespread approach. Do the web pentest path, pentest path, the blue team paths, and get a solid idea of how things work, how things function, what does what - that sort of thing.

Build up your own workspace (like a kali image for example) with tools, as you build knowledge, and get used to things.

Its a long path to Red Team, so don't be discouraged, just stick to it. Find the things you like to do, what gels with you, and specialize into it. Use HTB and other labs/services to get practice doing things.

From there, work towards getting a pentester/sec consultant job, cut your teeth in that, get better at scripting and custom engagements, and then you can transition to a Red Teamer.

You can use a wifi module on the raspberry pi and connect the IP cameras to the raspberry PI through wifi that creates a completely separate LAN completely isolated from your home network

Nmap is NOT using the SOCKS proxy unless you explicitly force it to.So Nmap is sending SYN packets directly from your host, not through the SOCKS tunnel.
