Had a Machine Learning employee who connects to a Linux server through VS Code. Prob code was hosted on a Linux host, dunno, wasn't linux support.
Work with her for a week, trying to figure out the cause, uninstall VS, check environment variables, ask my team, ask Desktop engineering, everything they gave me I already did.
So I kick the ticket over to Linux support as the code is interacting with shit on Linux, they chuck it back, I chuck it at them again, they chuck it back again. I talk to my TL who told me to chuck it back and if they chuck it back to us, he'll talk to them.
Go about my work for a couple weeks, I contact the user to see if their issue is resolved, come to find out, the Linux support tech didn't do anything at all with the ticket, issue just fixed itself.

I’m having an issue with VirtualBox and I’m hoping someone can help. Whenever I try to create a new virtual machine, VirtualBox won’t let me and gives an error saying it can’t host a VM. I’m trying to set up a Kali Linux VM, and even though I’ve watched countless videos and talked to AI assistants for hours, I still haven’t found a solution.
On the rare occasions when it does let me start creating a VM, I run into another problem: I can’t adjust the base memory or storage. It won’t allow me to select 1 GB, 2 GB, or any value at all—it just stays locked. It also sometimes says that it can’t host a global VM.
If anyone has run into this issue or knows how to fix it, I’d really appreciate the help. Thanks in advance!

Hyper v I believe works fine with wsl. Virtualbox just doesn't like wsl and your VMs will be incredibly slow if you're running both wsl and virtualbox
