I did once from CPTS to CDSA and KASE. The issue is I do not have a good enough foundational set of skills for cyber security. So I'm working on those. I'm still doing KASE but I think maybe it will be easier to do Hack the Box once I have the prerequisite skills.

Actually, this isn't exactly 100% true. If you're doing something like say writing your own scripts, you need more than just knowing how something works. You need to also know programming to an extent. For defending say a domain controller, you don't need any programming just to be able to work with your soc tools

ok, but this is why I feel I need to course correct and learn from my failure and right now my failure is I spent years on CPTS and didn't go anywhere and wanted to finish and get CPTS for a long time and I didn't and I feel bad about it and still want it and I want to see if the correction I could make is to learn fundamentals better before doing CPTS.
