Lots of people trying to get into the field and lots of training providers, universities, bootcamps, etc. trying to capitalize on that. Companies that are trying to find ways to trim staff for a variety of reasons, LLM hype trains and outsourcing being part of it. Other issues is that lots of "entry" level isn't actually entry level. It's not just a cyerbsecurity thing though. IT job market generally is rough and there is crunching outside of IT as well.

I'm not saying that as a beat down though. Just if you were expecting an easy glide to a high paying, easy job, you won't find it.

Finish out the degree probably since you are already started. Check into job listings, pay attention to what you would be interested in and what they ask for. Then, figure out how you can demonstrate that you have the associated skills and knowledge. Blog, certs, competitions, and networking with people all play into that. Personally, I think HTB is a pretty awesome resource. :P There is a reason I hang around.

Ah gotcha, makes sense. Sounds like the NVIDIA driver reinstall might have messed something up with xmonad detecting screens/workspaces. Definitely worth asking the #xmonad folks. Hopefully it’s just a tiny config tweak and not something deeper
