Not usually no, sometimes passive scanning can screw things up or client side scripts won't run appropriately.

Maybe check the set-cookies request in the web browser (dev tools > network) vs in burp and see if there are any differences or lost cookies. Otherwise you could make sure it is using HTTP/1.1 as HTTP/2 can cause issues with some sites and burp is generally configured to use that. Otherwise in settings>proxy there are some options where burp adds various headers to requests, try playing around with those. Also disable any extensions you have as those can sometimes modify/send requests on their own

Also try chome/firefox proxied to burp and see if that differes from the built-in chromium browsers
