Most players only have a few thousand gold or less to begin with, so why wouldn't they prioritize the temporary arbitrary value of buying the battlepass for a standard price and sell the battlepass rewards for a profit? Seams fairly obvious to me that they're performing a gold squeeze that inevitably decreases the amount of liquidity within the market to an extreme. Will be interesting to see if they remove the ability once more after all of the arbitrary value is gone and there's been multiple rotations of players trying to get every last cent until it's no longer profitable.

They're not oblivious to the affect and effects as seen in the prior condition. It's been removed for this exact reason. Why go for round 2? Nothing changed except for small recovery (accounting for natural market progression including a recession in item supply, both by the voided usage & feat of digital ownership in this ecosystem across all items).
