If the skill gap is narrow as that, what is even the point of trying to climb your way to the top when it is almost the same for every tier other than getting a shinier design for your profile

I see your case. You were losing 5-6 when playing 5-5, then one enemy left, in 5v4 situation you lost 2 rounds and won only 1, then another enemy left and in a 5v3 you won 4 and lost 1. Remaining enemies were low on rank, one of them had bronze 1. I mean, it is not that unfair as you think it is. And also you had 0 mvp stars, which means you didnt earn anything extra.

It may seem unfair, but losing 5v3 against players lower than you on rank is crucial
