take a pistol and a plasma pistol for better damage on the elites and leave the river part at the end for last its easy part also exchange the sniper rifle later for the plasma pistol

i speedrun everything and this helped me

use the warthog and pick up the sniper marine in passenger seat

most optimal would be pistol and sniper

Give the sniper to a marine and have him sit in the warthog as a passenger and drive around a safe distance from the enemies and have him shoot everything while you have another marine as a gunner. The marine with the sniper will have perfect accuracy and he will have infinite Ammo in the sniper. All you need to do is driver to all 3 locations making sure the marines do all the work

Well all halo lasos have some strat that only works playing solo. I did them all about 2 years ago and I tried both coop and solo in certain situations

Such as doing the god mode glitch in the elevator on H2

can still do that on co op

It works but runs high risk to fail. Also a lot of teleporting issues between each other messes up a lot. Certain despawns wont work etc etc

Checkpoints can be triggered at the wrong time as well

you have to be the one to go up the elevator and the co op partner stays still until you go back down then you both are invincible

Yes i know how it works, but when the player upstairs loads into the new area, the previous area player 2 is in won't unload 100% because he is still down there waiting. and after player 1 is done cutting the wires the elevator glitches and ends up being stuck on the top and you can't push the button. ( unless that has been fixed since I completed all the lasos 2 years ago)

If the co op player wouldn't be down there , this issue never occurs, so it's small things like that which can mess things up.

you dont ever push the button after cutting the wires

waste of time on solo. it adds about 2 minutes of time

and breaks the thing on co op

after the last wire is cut theres a 15 second gap where you have to wait then you just fall down the elevator. and theres no fall timer. you wait the 15 seconds so the anti gravity doesnt become unbearable when you fall down

the co op player will just be suspended in some void space when you fall down. they will tp to you

ive done it around 30-50 times on co op and the player has only ever died once and thats because I was dumb and descended the elevator extremely early

but yes. many strats are different on co op and take way more time to do

Hey lads I have a question regarding Halo 2 LASO, my cousin and I are on Arbiter (We did Heretic and The Armory Solo before starting Cairo Station together) We know of the glitch on The Oracle where the elevator makes you invincible and we are wondering if it's okay for us to do that mission solo and continue the rest in Coop? Will the achievement still pop if we decided to do The Oracle solo?

The reason we want to do Oracle solo is because without the invincibility we heard that the Heretic Boss Room is kind of crazy on LASO

If anyone has any info on this that would be appreciated, I checked a Reddit thread and they said it should be fine but I still want to make sure with someone who has better knowledge and/or has done this
