I think that it is very much like how it is with Halo Infinite, people are so disappointed and have a bad view of it that even if they redeem themselves and make it good, not everyone is going to come back to it because they already have a bad experience with the show

Honestly one of the biggest thing that shows his emotional disconnect. He reunites with hs fellow Spartans he thought lost on Reach. What so they do? Hug? Celebrate? No, just a two finger swipe across their visors in the shape of a smile

I like how some people make an argument for the show that they couldn’t have Chief’s helmet on the whole time because the Cheif’s actor is really good (which he is), and they couldn’t have his performance be stunted.

When they have Chief barely ever change his expression away from mildly constipated, and they just didn’t trust the actor enough to do it with just his voice, which he was pretty good at, even though it was really weird not hearing the game voice of the chief

One thing I genuinely enjoy about this show is the other three Spartans. Most of all, Spartan Vannak. The man is an absolute brute, completely no-nonsense and looks the most intimidating out of all of them. Riz also looks quite threatening and no-nonsense, and I enjoy her interactions with Vannak most of all. I initially had issues with Kai (mostly to do with casting) but she has warmed up to me quite a bit. She isn't as obnoxious as Master Cheeks is after removing her pellet.

Captain Jacob and Miranda Keyes, Master Sargeant Johnson, Foehammer, and goodness knows how many others that were in many of the extra material, books, and comics.. It was like as soon as the war was over that the practices that Dr Halsey and ONI came to light, but the politics was never supposed to be a point driven into the game. MC trying to be an actual human in trying to keep Cortana sane till the end was actually one of the most heart wrenching plot points in 4. Halo 5 barely had any story beyond him trying to confront Cortana (Though that was a weak point through that game since we largely played as Locke).
So again I ask: Why rewrite history?

I'm saying less would. The larger the number of issues, the more will find issue. Those that would complain would always complain, but it wouldn't be as loud.

I distinctly remember the FuD chat being 95% complaints, 5% lore and appriciation.
I dont think the ratio would shift that much.

The irony being people are now sweeping the complaints about FuD under the rug and talking about it as if it was amazing and they had never said a thing.

That's assuming FuD has the same level of audience pull as this show. It wouldn't, because this show is marketed as the Halo adaptation.
