This whole "they didn't play the games" quote has been ridiculously blown out of proportion. They simply said the didn't focus on the game directly, but the lore, characters, and universe. Oh my gosh the TV show was so good! I’m really glad how they didn’t take account for the lore, and never even played the video games to obtain source material from. The director definitely did know best on his original version. It really is quite amazing too, since there is a ton of source material and his was better than all of them combined! Anyone saying the tv show is bad should just understand this is a new story. There are bound to be different events that occur, and it is ok to have something completely different than what anyone was expecting! Good job 👍
