I only criticize because I would love to see a good halo show, I remember the animated one, and even that Netflix one years ago which was awesome growing up. This just feels like it's low effort for easy profit. Which as a consumer makes me feel used.

My main issue is adaptations are supposed to by and large, follow the same general outline of the adapted material. The individual adaptations are mostly to alter the script so that it fits the format of film better. They typically don't make huge sweeping changes to the events of the material they're adapting.

That's not what's happened with what I know of the TV halo show and the uncharted movie. They've created a number of new characters (that already closely fit existing ones), created brand new characters and altered characters that are making the jump.

There are major differences between the show and the main canon, making the level of alterations much more analogous to the failed Percy Jackson films that the fanbase hates and the creator disavowed than the Harry Potter films, which by and large are in line with the books.

My main gripe is when it comes to atmosphere, writing, and character. Some of the dialogue options for me are a bit weak and sound clique and childish. Like something a middle school would write. And that’s a bit off putting for me.

And that choreography with Chief and the elites as a odd with rifle smack. Not a move you see every day and didn’t look good in my opinion
