Split screen co-op is only available on Xbox on PC you need a mod on steam
Halo infinite however doesn’t have co-op at all they original said it will become available 3 month after release but I think that’s been push back to as far as may now

You add them as friend on Xbox or steam and they do the same then you open lobby menu with controller I believe it’s the X button then go to their name and join or you invite them to yours

Just side note you can’t Co-op campaign with someone on Xbox if you are on PC it can only be done PC with PC and Xbox with Xbox
