Lot of people tend to say the books get better as time goes on. A lot of early works can present themselves aa very stiff a lot of the time as the series and universe was still trying to find its narrative footing. The stories end up playing with the politics and characters much more as time goes on resulting in much more poignant narratives.

I've never seen anyone say positive things about Mortal Dictata. The politics are atrocious, framed in Karen Traviss's famously simple writing style. The characters similarly suffer. Karen Traviss can write okay in a very limited framework. First Republic Commando book was good, and subsequent books just kind of degenerated into trash. The books are bad enough that they aren't worth supporting at all.

Ok first of all, didn't need to tag me, second, I have seen people on multiple occasions try to justify them in my time on this server, just because you didn't see it, doesn't mean it never happened, nor does it somehow make me a liar

And like the amount you typed out to somehow "prove" I'm lying is honestly insane, nor will it change the fact that the S-IVs not being child soldiers is good and shows that the augmentations are now much better since they no longer require a very specific genetic pool and children to be given to someone

And the S-IIIs not having the same amount washout or get crippled as the S-IIs is also another sign that things have improved, kinda important if you're working on a super soldier program that things get easier to do on a wider pool of people
