The one time I got a little invested in a sports team, there was an obvious biased call from the ref, that even fans from the opposing team agreed was bogus. Locals here went so far as to starting a lawsuit. From that lawsuit we learned that because it's officially called "sports entertainment" it means it doesn't have to be fair and straight calls, as it's considered entertainment.
So my little bit of care went away, because why would I get invested in something that can be openly rigged/fixed so following a team doesn't matter
