Meh, extraction shooters are honestly a nice middle ground for me as someone with lots of time on fpses and rustlikes but less time than when i was a kid

I still love destiny’s gameplay i just accomplished some things that felt like my peak, and i had nothing left to prove

I played arc raiders a bit when it dropped and had fun but that game is so solveable

Unfortunately the only realization i reached after playing rustlikes and extraction shooters for years is that the best way to win is to choose not to fight 9 times out of 10. Chances are i’m a more efficient grinder than my opponents, so fighting them is often a waste of time.

By solveable i mean i found metas to get things done fast and those metas were boring

I definitely need to play through Caretaker with a team which isn't disorganised. Last few runs I did (Which was over a year ago now) were with people who barely knew what to do. I will agree about the Kell Echo, definitely well designed

Caretaker is so elegant man. It has jobs for 6 people, but also can be done with fewer (even solo) for people with interest in those challenges. It doesnt leave anyone out and the skill ceiling is so high. 10/10 you gotta try it again

It's got a fantastic first boss which is really flexible in how you complete it and the settings within the Dungeon are fantastic

Also the weapons are easily top tier due to just the damage they output alone

I have Dolby Atmos and I bought DTS, and I think DTS is better for Halo Infinite. Do you agree?

I can't change the multiplayer audio; there's no English option in the settings menu.

I'm on Windows 11, and I downloaded the game from the Microsoft Store.

I installed the high-resolution textures and couldn't notice any difference in the graphics. I set everything to Ultra.

I played it on Xbox 360 back then, and the Dolby Digital sound on the TurtleBeach XP500 headphones was way better than the 3D sound in Halo Infinite.

I have a Sennheiser PC360 with Dolby Atmos and DTS, and I can't really perceive the 7.1 3D audio very well.

Back when TurtleBeach was on their A-game with audio engineering. They're slowly coming back though

I mean, could be confirmation bias, could be Windows being Windows with DTS/Atmos integration. All that really matters is that it sounds good to you. I frequently switch off of Atmos mixes on my 5.1 setup because I prefer a DD+ mix. Just kinda depends

Personally I don't think 5.1/7.1 can work in a headphone environment, but I also prefer the real thing

The TurtleBeach XP500 had preset mixing settings that made Halo 3, Halo 4, and Reach look great in 7.1 3D; I could tell where each enemy was in multiplayer just by listening to the audio.

But it's not the same with Dolby Atmos.

I would have to buy an updated TurtleBeach to test it, or maybe an updated Astro A50.

Sennheiser is good for music, but not good for 3D audio in games.

I don't know exactly which headphones professional FPS players are using.
