Master Chief back in original Halo's 1 and 2 was when he was most powerful. He had the Toon Force with him. In Combat Evolved, he teleported upside down and gravity only took effect after he looked down and realized he was about to fall. In Halo 2, he pulled a Needler out of thin air after reaching off screen to grab it. The scared grunt never threw the needler in the air for Chief to catch it until Anniversary.

I felt like they may have lost an opportunity in my opinion. Halo 5's art style is roughly the same and has Prometheans as Halo 4's (even thought that is on MCC\Steam), but at least Halo 4 gets the mod support and especially Halo 4 Mythic Overhaul mod.

hot take but coming from a younger generation fan i think that sprint doesn't belong in the series.

Halo and it's maps were originally designed around all players moving for the whole duration of the match at the very same movement speed and in every single direction while keeping guns up and ability to melee and throw granaded for the whole time.

The only mechanic that didn t mash with it was dual wielding which was cut because of the very same reasons that i think sprint should be removed.

(tho if you ask me dual wielding brought something more interesting to the table despite not working in perfect harmony).

Another thing about sprint is thag it forces to look in a certain direction in order to move at the speed which the space was crafted around
