I actually really like Johnny because he's like, 10/10 for identifying the problem, 4/10 for coming up with actual solutions or doing anything to actually solve any problem.

As a character, that's some nice material, even if people walk away thinking "Wow that Johnny guy was based"

(He also is an unreliable narrator, natch)

In-universe, Johnny's solution is a self-destructive one because he doesn't trust society to agree with his opinions in a meaningful, effective way

That's why nothing he or the player does changes anything

I could if I was brave. At one point between my house and college there's a part that can only be safely traversed by car. Pedestrians have to walk through an undeveloped wall of land that leaves little room for walking. That road alone doesn't let you bike either and biking sucks on all these roads overall.

American cities being as untraverseable as they are is a damn travesty. I'm glad Michigan's put so much effort into the main cities being as walkable as they are, considering they are wider than they are tall.

Technically, I could ride my bike in one unbroken trail ride for about half the state, and that whole way would be at least gravel and maintained.
