As someone who had a gaming laptop in 2020 and whose brother has one and he himself described it as "A sarcophagus in a dreadnought", gaming laptops really aren't worth it.

Gaming laptops are usually bad at handling heat, and that's the one thing GPUs (especially more modern revisions) generate. Your experience with a gaming laptop will likely be a hot keyboard, potent fans doing all the noise they can because if they don't then your equipment will get damaged...
You'll eventually get low frames and the only thing that'll save you is undervolting your CPU, but some newer processors won't even let you do that.
A gaming laptop is only good if you're an architect who needs to move, or a student who needs to move.

A regular desktop PC will make little to no noise (The most noise is made by a regular CPU fan, spending some more dollars on an AIO cooler will remove that problem completely), your GPU temps will at the most reach 70°C, and the computer is upgradable. When Halo Infinite came out, I felt really high FOMO because my gaming laptop with a 1650 couldn't run it properly. Right now my brother is wishing he could get rid of his gaming laptop and get something else because his computer just sucks, and he now gets a couple of blue screens due to the overheating and there's nothing we can do about it, I already did a repaste and thermal replacements for him.

Do bear in mind that what I described above requires some knowledge about computer maintenance. You can learn, but can you learn?

One a serious note, I think 343 games heavily struggle from a spectacle standpoint. Halo 3 with the scarabs was peak spectacle in halo campaign gameplay imo, and it’s a tragedy they haven’t reached that level since. Yes and No. Doubles tends to be populated more, but most of the streamers were all level locked by cheaters to be 23ish, and since it searches up and down by 10 levels to find games, 10-30 is the sweet spot.

Also keep in mind Hardcore 2s for H3 and CE don’t have team matching, so as a solo you can match duos.

TS is the one where it’s much more highly dependent on time of day.

Check twitch for doubles streamers, if none are live there’s no real way to know if there are games besides queuing.

So I was just messing about on Requiem in Halo 4 and somehow managed to get the Zealot to drop the Halo Reach armour ability module instead of the Halo 4 Active Camo module. It then disappeared as the correct module spawned in for the Cortana dialogue about grabbing his camo
