we only consistently beat super helldives, with automatons
terminids is a nightmare and illuminates we don't even consider because we do not like fighting them

im surprised at how well stealth works against automatons

I fudged up getting outta there so I didn't make it out alive but the killcount and liberation was worth it

the biggest boon to fighting bots is learning that there are more weakspots more places you can shoot more tools you have for certain things than you expect. and also learning at least some basic breakpoints
don't just try everything, but try everything on every part. you will discover a lot.

a really good example, devastators. the head is clearly still the best weakspot if your aim is true. however, their entire lower torso is vulnerable to light ap. in particular, the stomach, between the upper torso and the pelvis. that right there is the second best weakspot for devastators. it also usually tends to glow, and it's the same on berzerkers too. once you know about it, it's a fantastic weakspot to dump your full autos or your shotguns into.

leg weakpoint also comes in handy often. focus one leg for a kill. and that's easy even with autos since they just kick up, even if you suffer with recoil, leg is tall, all your bullets will hit.

scout striders have medium armor pelvis and legs which are pretty easy to drop (AMR can one tap these spots)
and obviously you can shoot out the pilot
but on the reinforced striders, there is another great weakspot. the rockets are low HP and low if not completely unarmored. every marksman will 1-tap these rockets. and in general this is the spot to shoot with light AP. still the fastest way with medium pen and above too, but with that much ap you can also just go the easier route with legs or pelvis

heavy AP is the master key for bots not just for enemies but also things like emplacements, and this goes for grenades as well

your default HE grenades can onetap annihilator tanks, shredder tanks, and all emplacements, even the grounded dropships on the air base missions
want to hot drop fortresses on d10 but you are worried about the sniper emplacements? bring HEs, impacts or seekers, one of the +grenade passives, bam you've solved them

As a non-gamer, whaddya think of my Halo Infinite loadout:

Pulse Carbine
&
Sidekick
+
Repulsor.

This loadout would allow me to engage my enemies at a consistent/semi-consistent middle distance, taking advantage of the volume of fire from the Pulse Carbine, coupled with its bolts' tracking. I can either use it standalone, or to shred shields to open enemies up to a round or two from the Sidekick. And then I can use the Repulsor here and there to make sure they can't get too close, allowing me to keep them at that range.

Ofc I'll melee if I have to, but this is how I'd play. I'm open to changes or additions 💜

It’s a common weapon the Banished use throughout the campaign, as well as plasma recharge stations scattered throughout the levels.

If you can’t find any and need a replacement, the plasma pistol works too.
