For me and for many others it's the sandbox.
The weapon variety, vehicles and all of that stuff. And it's maps are some of the most memorable and Halo 3s mechanics are favored by most.

No. Very different in terms of mechanics. It adds things like reticle bloom, armor abilities, health mechanics come back, slight changes in art style but it's mainly due to better graphics so it adds more detail.

MCC was only ever meant to be Halo 1 to 4 - a collection of legacy titles brought to Xbox One so that people could play them before jumping into Halo 5, as it would become a native title.

With where MCC is right now, Halo 5 would just be a technical infeasibility

MCC needs years of developments to fix the issues it already has without also trying to shoehorn a totally different game into it

• The familiarity of Reach's Earth-like setting gives way to the expansive new alien landscapes and structures of CE.

I know where this conversation is going to go (absolutely nowhere) so I'll just leave the following and get back to work:

The Covenant has plasma weaponry that is able to disable a UNSC Cruiser (Bigger than the Super Destroyer) in seconds. A Super Destroyer or a hundred wouldn't finish depleting a Covenant Corvette's shields before it singlehandedly destroys them all with Plasma Torpedoes. Titanium-A is the material that the UNSC uses on its ships and it's only slightly better at plasma weaponry defense, but it's definitely not going to resist. I very much doubt Super Earth has the same kind of material, given that a very slow laser shot from a planet can blow an entire Super Destroyer.

Then there's the railgun and the MAC. The Orbital Railgun is a clean shot without much collateral damage at a single object.

A MAC round is a slug of tungsten shot out of a railgun so massive the entire ship has to be built around it (See the designs for a UNSC frigate or the UNSC Pillar of Autumn's hexagonal design), a MAC round's velocity is not measured in kilometers per second, but by fractions of the speed of light, and when it hits, it leaves a GIGANTIC crater. The UNSC Infinity's test run of its MAC gun left a huge crater on Sanghelios that helped quell a rebellion in seconds.

A Helldivers - Covenant fight would end in minutes. The Helldivers are heavily reliant on hellpod equipment and orbital support. The Covenant would easily destroy that and leave the divers with nothing. No equipment, no reinforcements, they'd just die.

Super Earth does not have the resources to destroy planets, the Illuminate did, Super Earth just stole their tech.
