In the past few years, they've just not had the resources to commit to making a PC port of Halo 5

What always irritated the bejeezus out of me is that you don't need to be in the shadow of Chief at all.

There's literally an entire section of space post-Human Covenant war that is jointly patrolled by the UNSC, including Spartans, and the Swords of Sanghelios. You could literally set up a whole story in that region because it's full of rebels, starting colonies, weird bedfellows in terms of colony management-all sorts of Star Wars-esque plots you could make.

By "Star Wars" I mean their focus on Mandalorian-style shows, not literally 1-1.

You could just be the 'fixer squad' of an ONI agent trying to kill Banished, rebels, Forerunner crap, whatever.
