Actually, Halo's kinda heavily toned down the lethality of plasma. A regular marine tanks a full burst center-mass to his body armor in Rubicon Protocol, but still suffered immediate burns and had to quickly take his vest off to prevent more injury.

I like the long ttk Halo provides. It makes it more like a game of chess as opposed to CoD where if you get hit you're dead. Like I absolutely hate swat for that reason. Halo gunfights are like a dance. I'm usually on the losing end of the dance however.

Ive almost ran through infinite campaign with some new people and we almost have 100% also. Weve had a blast and i dont understand the hate. Granted its open world which some people just cant get used to, and the last of diverse biomes is a -sigh- moment but its still a huge and fun campaign to play.

idk if this is the method you're using, but the way i do rice is washing it through a mesh strainer until the water is almost clear (i like slightly sticky rice), then put it in whatever i'm cooking it in and fill it with enough water that if i put my forefinger in and touch the rice, the water comes up to the first knuckle of my finger. this method has never failed me
