Y'know, actually, that reminds me of what I'd want to do for a Spartan IV centric campaign, would be something a lot like the Gears 4 intro.

Mission 1 is you playing as a Spartan II, going through a mission in the middle of the war alongside a squad of Beta-5 human special forces, and you sacrifice yourself to get them on the Pelican to safety.

Mission 2 is you playing as a Cat 2 Spartan III-A, and you infiltrate with a Beta-5 Special Forces team, dying on the way to complete the mission.

Mission 3 is you playing as a Cat 2 Spartan III-B, and you're fighting on a location on Earth, before ultimately getting overrun as a Pelican comes in to evac you.

And then Mission 4, the end of the intro missions, reveals that you're actually playing as a Beta-5 Human Special Forces operator who was actually just a regular guy in all the prior missions-now augmented into a Spartan IV.

Because there's a few IVs who've been around as long as the IIs have, they just weren't Spartans until 2552+.

Tartarus for example had motivation with the rivalry between Elites and Brutes in general and competing for favor from the heirarchs; it plays into the idea of racism, religion, feelings of inadequacy, etc. Atriox is a rebel against the same faction that Humans were fighting but the difference is he’s… just angrier?

Most of my friends that I play with are a bit less skilled than me and I don't have that strong of a back to compensate so we mainly play casual together. I don't like the pressure of possibly being the failure point on a squad that I just met and is looking to climb so soloing is the way I go.

i queued with randos just to matchmake faster and i regretted it after a week cause we didn't communicate well

with randoms pinging has kinda become a meta and i think most solo queue players have ping on a paddle

next halo game should have a map you can ping on when your respawning

idk if that would work in halo but other games let you do that

My problem with calls is that calling them out a lot of times breaks my own flow and hurts my performance, but I know you can only communicate so much with pings. I'm good at zoning in, reacting and adapting. Break that focus and I start tripping on my face. I'm good at following calls and commands though

Btw is anyone noticing a specific set of shoulders missing from their armory like it shows its there but when you equip them they’re invisible and not actually there, the shoulders I’m referring to are originally from the Eaglestrike called the Type-11 Defenders?
