All helmets are made to a standard size. Just like a knight of olden days can put on another knight's helmet, so could another Spartan put on the Master Chief's helmet

The Package has a flag for having done that challenge, the flag was implemented in the 360 version to unlock the "If they came to hear me beg" achievement.
So what the MCC team did was recycle the code that used that flag, and apply it to the challenge in question.

The issue that lots of people had was that the achievement was not unlocking for them no matter what they did. What they all had in common is that they had done the jump to kill the Elite just for fun.

However, that funny jump set the flag to TRUE. Because they had already done what the flag was supposed to do.
Once the flag is set to TRUE, it won't go back to FALSE.
And the game didn't check if a flag was already TRUE
