To me, it makes halo 5s story less tense because it doesnt feel like Humanities hard work getting back to where they were before is at stake. Because it was only 4 years

Well, that's kinda part of why 5 ended the way it did.

It ended on a different scope of humanity getting kicked to the curb. Kinda why I'm really hoping the Created don't get canned utterly.

People hated 5's ending, but hated how 4 and 5 made humanity 'on top'. Problem being, 5's ending is what knocked the UNSC back down-it's a different kind of knocked down.

Infinite tied into it a teensy bit but it's barely relevant to how the actual story operates; Not much would've changed if it was a battlefleet that got shrekt or the Infinity. Hell, it could've been a few Spartan drop pods having a bad landing on a ring that goes pop, and the end result wouldn't have actually changed so long as the ring exploded and the Banished were involved.

yeah, it definitely is. Quake 2 is a great sp campaign for what it is. Quake 3 is when the first real arena pvp game released and to this day, I love Quake 3, I just wish more people played it, but that style of game I think is unfortunately dated for most gamers today. I just can't get into Quake Champions, it's so bland and boringly slow. The strafe jump in Quake Champions is nothing like Quake 3's.

oh I guess Unreal Tournament was the competitor to Quake 3.
