that's rough. I personally have a hard time playing single player games, most are boring as hell to me. I do not like interactive movies. Halo Infinite's campaign is okay, but it's pretty predictable even though it's open world. Linear games are boring unless the story is really engaging. Last single player game I really enjoy was probably the Half-life series. Halo Combat Evolved was a decent single player experience, and Halo 2, but after that, they just become on-rails shooters.

The franchise has long explicitly stated that they've wanted the IP to be viewed at the same level as Star Wars and other sci-fi epic universes. Gaming was the vehicle for growth, but it will never be the primary medium of introduction that TV is. And once IPs become established at that level, having its presence on a bunch of different experiences is normal. So that's a long way of saying that I think we will actually get to what you're saying.

Sooner than we think, the next generation will be describing Halo as "Halo began as a long-running series of games..."
