Sadly you rarely see more then 2-3 jackals at once.

Also the jackals in the cortyard on H2 will do it from time to time if hte props that normally give htem cover are removed.

ITs done via node pathing though in all cases, so it isn't something the AI intentionally does, it is just areas they are directed to move and fire from.

Makes sense why they wouldn't group together though: in a world where grenades are commonplace, you'd want to sap grenade inventory with as low of a chance of multi-kill as possible, so you'd scatter shielded troops and not group them.

Also, I wonder why the Covenant didn't put booster packs on shielded jackals. They already dive away from grenades but oftentimes not out of blast radius; seems like they'd be very effective if they would actually evade grenade throws.

You don't have to play FF constantly until tedium. It's something that's nice to have, so you can bounce between competitive, social and PvE. Also, you have to take into account that what you see isn't necessarily what everyone else sees. I've read and watched nothing but hype about this.

If I just wanted to kill AI enemies, I could just play the campaign
The variety feeling of having custom maps to play FF on will only last so long until you start noticing you're fighting the same enemies over and over and you've memorized their behaviour

There's a huge difference between a wave based mode and shooting developer placed enemies in an open world. Furthermore, you could make the same argument about anything. As long as there is a sufficient stream of new maps within customs, it'll delay the eventual 'fatigue' from playing FF.

But again, you're assuming that FF is something that you should only play exclusively. If I play FF once a week, it could take months or years before I need to take a longer break. You're going on like people will be bored within days.

I don’t hate coatings in concept, I just don’t like that they aren’t modular.

Like let us pick a different coating per armor piece and that’d mitigate some of the customisation complaints
