I just thought of an idea for Infinite and I think it's really good, so good I'm mad at myself for imagining something like this and for it not being in the game

What if the Flood were on Infinite's campaign, but they were more of an endgame addition?
What if during a mission we find out there's Flood on Zeta Halo, but they are contained, be it an island, a facility guarded by sentinels or something like that, so they can't escape yet and are not involved in the plot for the time being. But near the end The Weapon sets them free, be it to distract the Banished while we rescue the pilot or to help us kill the Harbinger
And then after you've completed the campaign and resumed your exploration the Flood were now free to fight across the map
