I think that's the big failing in MCC's presentation of the mode. In Halo 4, it clearly presented itself as a co-op focused mode with matchmaking as a focus. In MCC, there is no matchmaking, along with a challenge achievement asking people to go through it solo, most people are just going to see it as unbalanced and long.
