basically i would flip the script. instead of chief being playable in four missions, its either 50/50 or 60/40 in chiefs favor for playability in 5's campaign. we focus on chiefs relationship with blue team, people he's supposedly known all his life, (something you should be able to know without reading the books if it's that important) and his relationship to cortana.

I actually think they should have done the opposite and go with what seemed to be the original intent of making the game more about tracking down Chief when he goes AWOL. In one of the gameplay demos of the game, we see Osiris in Sunaion are chasing down a trail left by Blue Team. I think it would've been a lot more impactful if we don't get those Blue Team missions explaining exactly what was happening, so that Chief's motives were in question the entire time until the end where everything gets pieced together.

MCC itself is just a launcher. Each of the games are considered DLC for the launcher. You will need to buy these DLCs if you want to play their respective games, but they are standalone and you don't need to buy any others to play any one.
