Over-all, I'm glad we're finally getting decent looking maps visually that are upgrades off of Halo 5's maps. Previously we weren't with the launch maps.

It doesn't. It uses LPDDR5 RAM but it's set up in a way to be effective at being VRAM. XONE did the same thing with it's DDR3 and so does the XSS/XSX & PS5 with there GDDR6 SDRAM

ok so I downloaded the latest windows update.. about a month ago, then all these issues started. about a day or 2 later I uninstalled that update and it was completely fine again for 2 weeks? over the last week it's gone back to doing this

There's a small possibility that Windows updated your video drivers. Check the Radeon website for your EXACT chip model and find the appropraite drivers, and reinstall them.
