I'm just going to take a wild, wild guess and say that base controllers may lack paddles due to a complexity issue. If your base controller has 4 paddles, developers can make games more complicated, which could scare away more casual players.

So now time has passed I want to share my opinion on bringing back Sargent Jonson. I think bringing him back in the modern timeline of halo would be one of the worse ideas possible to such extent that halo as a franchise would be dead. The sheer weight that Jonson had in the end of halo 3 that can be argued that the weight of his words still effect Master Chief “Don’t ever let her go” so to simply bring him back would be horrible but making a game on Jonson past like contact Harvest would definitely sell once things are settled with infinite but that just my thoughts

What I mean by that is flash backs or dust and echoes of his voice similar to level 2 in halo infinite story where 343 can convey that Chief is hunted by his words, his memory of his friend. It would definitely be a nice impact on the story show that Chief feels like he failed Jonson or has some regret which could in-pack his relationship with the weapon made in way of being too protective

But Chief before cortana and during cortana didn't change, she helped with battle strategy she wasnt an emotional guide for him because Halsey never designed her for that, she designed her so Chief can be the most efficient a spartan can be. So him going all emotional after doesn't make sense because although they were neurally connected it doesn't mean they were emotionally connected. The only reason chief can care for cortana is because he is responsible for her as she is part of him. I know 4 and so on say otherwise but 4 and the others dont make sense here because like many halo fans agree it alters chiefs order following rough appearance

Specifically, recording fan short stories as canon.
Dunno. I know it'd take a lot of effort to make sure everything fit and stuck in the greater scheme of things, but I think it'd both be a good opportunity for community talent scouting as well as maybe providing some extra fleshing out of lower-stakes stuff.

The Bandit is a good, balanced weapon. But the BR beats it in basically every scenario.
Especially in BTB where it's tempting to think the Bandit has a longer range than it does.
