I played a few matches of Destiny last night, and it confirmed that I made the right choice to break up with it. It felt so much more free to just play some modes and not have the heavy cloud of 60 different quests and bounties hanging over my head.

Yeah, Destiny was smart about progression: instead of capping progress, it uses inflation instead. You progress quickly and frequently...but the amount of stuff to collect and do is even greater than that.

Add onto the fact that you Apex also doesn't have a variety of different ways to play made it kinda tiring too. You can only play the game seriously, with little room for deviation. Compared to Fortnite, which lets you goof off or hop into Creative for completely different experiences if you want.

I can understand the thinking behind Infinite's cores: trying to have different "characters" or "legends" so that your purchased cosmetic would only work on that person, but it was never effectively differentiated in the customer's mind to the point where it was widely accepted that buying a "skin" for one "character" meant it couldn't be used on another.

I kinda understand from a technical standpoint, since the armors are different and each piece or coating would have to be custom fitted to each armor. But it still feels a bit frustrating at times
I remember the first time I ran into core locks. I was fairly new, and was working toward my first weekly capstone. It was called the wolf fang, a large sword that attaches to your chest. I worked hard and unlocked it, was super excited.
Then I tried to equip it. It wasn't there. It was only for Rashaka, a core I didn't even have unlocked

Grapple sliding requires having the grapple, perfect timing and a one way direction. A speed boost gives you increased movement speed the whole time you have it. They are not the same at all.
