But it's very bad ad writing solutions for itself, I can't feed it the whole problem and expect it to come up with the answer, the context has to be fed in little by little.

i think asking chatGPT to write your whole essay for you is the extreme case though. Using it to help as you write your own essay would probably still be plagiarism technically, but it's really just going to speed up your writing by helping you with structure and such. If you heavily seed GPT with information and copy-edit whatever it outputs into a personalised piece of writing its fair game if you ask me. For a lot of people that would take longer then just writing themselves, but for others who struggle with writing I think it's game changing.

Literacy has 5ish levels. Level 3 is needed to live life and do things such as understand a prescription label or a basic instruction manual.
52% of the American population is under level 3 of literacy. Its a problem. Maybe Chat GPT can help some translate and fill in the gaps for those that struggle but I see it harming those levels more than helping as of right now
