As long as you change the image on the screen somewhat often then image burn-in shouldn’t happen. There’s plenty of YouTube videos that help to sort of reset your screen.

OLEDs probably have the highest panel quality of most monitors you can buy.

As for refresh rate, like I said, you kinda need to be a jet pilot to notice any changes beyond 240hz

I don't know if this applies to their monitors but LG has some pretty good burn-in prevention features on their TVs. I've been using an LG C1 for almost 2 years now as part TV, part PC monitor with no sign of burn in.

one thing: OLED looks stunning but has a drawback: burn in
OLED can burn in like old CRT, not as fast or devastating but my 2017 phone for example has some serious ghosting now especially in the statusbar where the battery icon, wifi icon etc sits. also there is a faded ghost of my keyboard on the lower half of the screen.

So your PC display will have ghosting after some time aswell. very faintly but it will happen. you can burn these away with some inbuilt system setting probably to level them pixels again but it basically means sacrificing a tiny bit of brightness for even screen.
LCDs dont have that issue, but also rarely have the perfect black/whites

I enjoy having a lot of info handy when playing. Whenever I've turned off HUD elements in games I've always turned them back on to avoid missing out on any info. But I just started playing Mafia Definitive Edition and no HUD has been really excellent since it's a story game.

Not so far. I'm a few chapters in and the story follows a linear path even though you can drive anywhere. But like there's only the one objective marker: no side missions to pick up, etc.
But I don't miss it, because Mafia Definitive Edition is already one of the top story games I've ever played. The acting is absolutely tv show quality. The visual of a video game doesn't even get in the way of being immersed in the narrative. It's blowing me away.

Looney tunes was not afraid to delve into topics like what was going on in Germany in the 30's, and, funny enough, sort of had this politically incorrect guise to it on purpose. It's why I find it a bit laughable when they removed things like firearms from the modern reinterpretation of it, because not only is literally everything else still present but it goes against what looney tunes' stood for, even if the societal context is a bit different

I feel like loony toons was so novel because of it's amazing animation and all of the expression and movement it conveyed. It was popular for it's comedy. But I feel like plot was kind of an after thought, something used to set up the next gag or sweeping animation. Characters dieing one scene and being fine in the next may be more of a product of that then trying to set up a deeper lore

Yeah it wasn't really ever about lore that kind of came later, it was basically a children's show with some risqué elements

The earlier stages of looney tunes were a bit different though, it was part propaganda and part comedy because they would often play them before the viewing of a movie at a theater

I'm sure there's good stuff out there, but I'll give you ua quick example of complete degradation in terms of the overall scope, quality and plot line of a particular franchise: Hot wheels. 2003 marked the 35th anniversary and as a result Mattel put a lot of resources into a full length animated movie, World Race. It was so popular in fact that it prompted a sequel called Acceleracers. Now I can go into depth about how awesome these series are both from a kids perspective and looking back as an adult, but basically what came after both of these are significantly dumbed down in storytelling elements and it does make me wonder why children's media deviated from this and things like Bionicle to... the average cartoon network premiere

So I have heard thay Steven universe is pretty solid yeah, but I do think it is important to note how different this particular franchise was. Elements not typically associated with childens shows were integrated into the two i mentioned; I think if you have not heard of those shows you might want to give them a watch. I can sit here and explain the intricate plot details for each but let's just say if you're interested unfortunately watching them might be a bit more difficult since they are no longer on YouTube, Mattel didn't care until about a year ago and they DMCA'd everything, so now all that's left are the DVDs but they are hard to find
