VDV bdrm variants

vdv divisions generally contain bdrm strela-1, brdm-2, and bdrm konkurs. this includes 76ya which is airborne only. given 76ya has them, i would assume that these vehicles are mi-26 transported, and should be given free veterancy (although konkurs already has this) and mi26 as a transport option.

This would contribute to flavour and buff some generally bad-mid divisions (as well as potentially giving 76ya some high hp helicopters to scout with or transport units, which could be fun in itself)
it would also fit modern airborne divisions, which generally get free vet on all units unless they are explicitly attachments (56ya actually gets vet bdrms already, showing its place in between the two eras). for 56ya, this would also include a potential vdv strela-10m, again to match 336ya. (edited- im an idiot, they are parachute deployed and should be represented as vdv rater than dsh variants

in addition, now we have single card >6000 supply units proliferated, i would propose giving the Mi-26 GRUZOVOI more supply (possibly 7500 or 8500 to act as an inbetween). i havent seen it used in actual games for ages, and it would be a needed buff as well as a fun flavour feature

finally i think this would be really funny

as i said, these arent particularly strong divisions, and none of these vehicles benefit massively from free vet. none of these divisions have at all a strong aa net and this wouldnt change that.

got it thank you. my overall point remains the same, and demand for aircraft doesnt matter so much when three divisions are engaging in combat over such a potentially wide timespan. i dont think 56ya is deploying from afghanistan a week into the war, and i dont think a lastditch attack on french icbm silos is happening a week into the war

76ya happens at the outset of war, and the transporters used are effectively sacrificed if they stick atound

huh i didnt know. still. its a poor reason to deny a lot of flavour, and "effectively sacrificed" is a good description for the entirety of 76th and really any vdv unit in a ww3 in practice

it would still have no armed helis, just some pretty expensive 10hp transports to recon with. the brdms inherently imply that it used some transport helis

The 76th VDV in Warno attacks the Plateau d‘Albion base in south eastern france, thats why they don’t have any helicopters, all the equipment they get in Warno is Airdroppable from an Il-76 or other Cargo plane.
An Mi-26 would make no sense since it would have to fly 1300km from the nearest Warsaw Pact base in order to reach Plateau d‘Albion.
It would run out of fuel and/or get shot down before reaching anywhere close.

The VDV BRDMs should definitely get the free vet but I'm against the addition of helicopters to 76ya. Not having any helicopters is a big part of the div's identity.
