#How can I check my own mods compatibility?

I have several own mods and I can use them all simultaneously without errors even if some of them are not working at the same time because they mod the same files...

But my mod users tell me that they have problems with compatibility or that they are outright not working:

"thing is that warnointro and morenatovoice cannot be applied at the same time, it would be lovely if both of those mods become compatible"

"it only says error, that's all with following text of "the following mods are incompetable with previously activated mods" "morenatovoice""

Hi !

This is a known issue, sorry. As soon as your mod is generated and uploaded, it may become incompatible with other mods. I’ve worked on this issue this week, and I’ll try to ship this in the next version !

And in the next version, the generation process will be a bit changed, and you will be able to see inside your mod configuration files which transaction are modified by your mod. Two mods touching the same transaction won’t be compatible, but you will be able to load multiple mods otherwise !

But it's my own mods , so I know exactly they don't have the same files. And they work at my PC, but not for the subscribers . Or does the problem comes with uploading?

I don’t explain why they work on your PC, because when I create and generate two different mods on my work environment, I’m not able to activate both of them because of a « Singletons.ndfbin » file generated each time the generation process is done.

This file is considered as a game transaction, present for every mod. And you can’t enable two mods that modify the same transaction.

This is faulty, this file is only used as an input for the asset cooker (and is not even moddable), so it shouldn’t be generated alongside other mod transactions

In the meantime, if you want to upload your mods so they’re compatible with each other, you can remove this file inside the ‘Gen/ResourceFile’ in your mods folder, and your mods should be compatible for your players !

This will be fixed hopefully in the next update, if I manage to ship the fix in time

Could it be that it works for me with two of my own mods because I'm launching them simultaneously? I right-clicked on Warno in Steam, went to PROPERTIES, and added the line "-activatemods "MoreNatoVoice|TESTSouth" to the Launch Options.

Don’t think so. Your mod will still try to read both of your gen folder content, and both of them should contain a file named « Singletons.ndfbin » in both gen folders (under ResourceFile folder in your mods Gen folder).

The presence of both of these files is creating the mod incompatibility, as far as I’m aware at least.

Ok. I mean I can't test your theory, because I can run three (own) mods at the same time without problems

You are saying the problem is with all mods? Except for maps ?

All mods as soon as they’re generated

Can you send me your mod folders so I can see how you’re able to run multiple mods without the fix please ?

I'm really not sure how you're able to activate multiple mods in your case ^^'

Did you start them out of steam directly multiple enabled with the command line from above?

Because I don't and never have started my mods out of the mod menu

Well, you found a bug in our mechanism to check if mods are incompatible. When activatemods is used, every mod is always compatible with every other mods... I'll fix that in an upcoming version, thanks for taking the time to answer my questions 😄

But please let this "bug" in the game ! I want to play with all my mods active:D

or give another solution for it... Atleast if the mods are cosmetic only
