The UH-1N (recently entering the game under the Canadian guise of CH-135), was also purchased by the U.S. Air Force and Marines as one of its first customers. The Air Force specifically uses it for utility and patrol duties primarily at ballistic missile sites,.

In the contexts of WARNO, the UH-1Ns would perform the role of patrol helicopters, but allow for an enhanced lore experience. If given to the large USAF patrol squad, it could be mentioned that wartime threats prompted the deployment of Security Force units from northern contiguous bases within the United States; their purpose would be to bolster the defense and security of Elmendorf Air Force Base and other local facilities.

Practically, if given to the USMC security squad, it would allow for seven (eight?) capable assault squads to be air-deployed, giving the division more tactical and strategic options across all gamemodes; both branches armed their UH-1Ns with door guns of some variety but no rockets, allowing for American UH-1Ns to be distinct from the Canadian CH-135 in a way that still affects gameplay.

Aesthetically? It looks cool in green.

As I understand this would only fit the 6th US rn.
But it does sound interesting to get air transport for USAF patrol and/or security, not to mention USMC security.

They could get rockets irl they are a different type from the Canadians. Dont know if it would be best for there role in 6th ID thought. First photo is USAF second is USMC

Completely unrelated but fun historical tidbit--UH-1Ns are still flying with the USAF in limited quantities today. And somehow manage one of the highest operational readiness rates and lowest flying hour costs of all USAF aircraft. No small feat for an aircraft that old.

The photo is from 1984 and it’s the only example I could find of it for the USAF. So it’s pretty rare

According to this press release, Grey Wolves are being built low-rate at the moment, so yes, as there's probably still an operational need for the Twin Hueys https://boeing.mediaroom.com/news-releases-statements?item=131476

I know the Japan based USAF UH-1Ns just got retired. My friend who goes to Montana State had some USAF UH-1Ns do a flyby for a football game yesterday.

Yeah I think they're going to start delivering the MH-139s to overseas units first ironically

Also, one of the A-7s I referenced earlier is in #screenshots-only now
