Im looking for 32gb ram cause 8 GB isnt enough.
I my specs are:
Core i5, (8400) | GeForce GTX 1660 Ti | Intel B360 | Ram slot = 288 pin DDR4.
ChatGPT said that 2666mhz would be perfect but someone in the dc said 3600mhz would be perfect.

Wanted to buy these but the take off the layer so it could fit cause they wont fit otherwise.
(I havent touched bios in 5 years and my PSU is 350 W)

Should u buy something else or go with:
Corsair 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 2666Mhz CL16 Vengeance LPX

This video should be used with the tutorial here:

A special thanks to Harry from Corsair Europe and Derick & Niko from EKWB!

Tjo, If you're just gaming and on a budget then 16 GB will probably do the trick as well. The ram controller in the CPU can take up to 2666. Unless you want to over clock the controller (is that even possible on a non-K CPU?) It doesn't need to clock higher but if you get your hands on a cheaper 3200 or 3600 or whatever that will work too just maybe not at that speed.

On my 8400 I currently have two Kingston KVR26N19S8/8 which cost me 10€ plus 5€ shipping, used from eBay

more than 2666mts is not supported on your mainboard.

Do you have two ram sticks on your motherboard or just one? If you only have one, you can simply buy the same stick for Total of 16gb

The ”test” ram doesnt fit even tho it has 288pin

#

Do i need to remove the heatsink? To make it fit in the slot

No but take both thumbs and apply pressure to the edge right above the two latches. Some RAM slots are really tight and you habe to apply more force than you'd expect. Looks like it was the right way around at the end.

One handed installation is in most cases impossible

#

Once its properly seated the latches fold in with a satisfying click

#

Listen for two clicks with slots that have two latches

#

This is a fully seated one notice the latch is straight with the socket and the latch is in that indentation of the ram stick

Feels like im gonna break the stick if i put too much pressure

The ”test ram stick” is from my brothers pc and when i tried to put my ram ”the green one that’s already in my pc” into his it didn’t fit and it seems like his ”the test ram” doesnt fit into my ram slot
