#Random Base-Building Decoration Item Ideas

(Dark told me to send images at some point, so I doodled some ideas- not amazing quality due to being sketches)
No military base is complete without a radioactive outhouse. 
In no particular order:
- Tarp for covering buildings to signify quarantine status
- Possible re-skin for the CERC vehicle yard, since the other one looks goofy to me
- Small vehicle-repair-station for FOB's
- Example of modular tunnels connecting to buildings
- Tables, one including a radio
- Medical Tent remodel
- American Flag, Could use other flag textures
- Small tower with or without an armed soldier inside to make civilian areas look more watched
- Stationary truck prop
- Gas can prop
- Fuel / Chemical canister prop
- Medical Curtains
- Army-Colored civilian hold retexture
- Large "Your text here" billboard
- Water Tower for distributing uninfected water supplies to civilians
- Medical Stretcher
- Machine Gun sandbag-bunker as a replacement for machine gun turrets or a static prop
- Guard-Post + Swinging barrier
- Spotlight that turns/shines into the sky
- Alarm siren that sits on top of a pole
- Tall mounted floodlights
- Helmet/Firearm props
- HESCO Elevated firing position
- Security Camera singular / multiple
- Bodybag storage area
- Radio Tower
- Hazardous Chemical storage tank
- Multipurpose CERC Trailer-Building
- Various Pallets of civilian goods for distributing or storing military goods
- Small generator for outposts, more building variety
- Anti-Tank obstacle
- Hazard-Tape
- Wooden road barrier
- CERC Shipping containers
I want all of these now
same even if its a dlc

It would be great if all this decor was functional, radio stations would transmit information to civilians about current temporary accommodation and evacuation points, queues would be created at checkpoints, so to speak, it would set the routes for civilians

If we toss all these in they will confuse the infected AI as well
So im waiting till we do some tweaks behind the scenes to make them better at target assignment as well
They need almost a system that "saves" this but they only attack what they need for a primary objective
I.E if its blocking their path else they will ignore it
save it for coming back later to destory
But it would take into consideration their "gameplay" importance
So some exceptions can be made
It could end up in the AI card but they are modeled and in a holding pattern way before then
Since thats when we are going to tweak the AI director/squad system for Chelsey/Infected
Right now the Modelers are finishing up some last minute Doctrine stuff on the tree that was added last minute. Then we are going to see if Epic fixed the 5.5 HLOD issue if not they will stall for a month or so doing misc objects like this
Rest assured i have not forgotten this thread and i wont. Im just waiting for the best time to put it in
Yea I thought it was kinda funny how the infected would target traffic cones, is imagine they wouldn’t notice anything unless it was blocking their path

Since it's kind of a "core thread" for all things base-building due to Terminal's efforts, i'll just put it here:
it would be nice to have a single, small "pedestrian gate" for walls. Where only people can pass through.
Something like 1/3rd of this on the picture
It would be cool to have more of a “supply” function for those larger structures or allow the infantry engineers to build light stuff and the more semi permanent structures with a vehicle.
i think i'll put a message in here to bump it and make it relevant/not too far to be forgotten (i understand it's currently about basic systems rebuilding 1st)
I'll add my 2 cents and summarise/consolidate a lot of things from other users for readability:

Allow troops to stand on guard tower/raised position assets, allowing use of them without making the guard towers themselves obscelete, as stationing troops like this would still use up pop cap

Allow Garage/Warehouse/Tent assets to fulfil the purpose of the facility they represent. E.g. Garage repairs vehicles, warehouse gives ammo/supply, fuel depot/tank gives fuel, tent can do whatever the tent design suggests, be it heal units, give supplies, increase pop cap (maybe with a effectiveness reduction) etc.

Use radio stations/buildings to transmit information; either to allow view into fog of war, or as a requirement to see into fog of war outside radio range of CERC building/Commander Winters, or buff view range around units, or direct civillians - either by specifying dedicated evac routes, communication civilian orders, communicating martial law status, etc.

Semi permanent structures; seeing the additiontion of semi-permanent structures such as 'K Houses', or 'Portacabins' could add some nice alternative base designs, ideal for your main base or evac centres

Exterior defenses; it would be nice to see more options for external base defenses, such as additions to the HESCO range (including raised firing positions), taller Jersey walls, different gate types, such as personnel gates/doors and Guardposts with the swinging barrier, and lastly bunkers/entrenched positions to be usable as opposed to robotic unmanned sentries

AI tweaks; and finally, Dark acknowledged the necessity to revamp AI target prioritisation before implementing more misc assets, due to their propensity to annihilate mere traffic cones instead of going straight for the actual threat and their actual objective.
