Seconding this, it sometimes takes up to a full second for soldiers to aquire targets now - infantry is now basically useless, and vehicles seem unaffected by this.

Vehicles are affected for me, they take time to shoot

The attack helicopter is the worst, on a patrol ever since these new updates it just flies around. Occasionally shooting then stopping.

The infantry is awful, I have stopped playing until its fixed its unplayable. A squad of 9 heavies get wiped by 2 zombies and the remaining 2 heavies finally shoot and kill them.

Its not instant, when the game first starts the A.I is perfectly fine, once the game progresses and the factions get some bases up, patient zero gets some units up, my troops just turn into 40IQ meatshields

not sure if this is the cause but i have also encountered this. I saw somewhere the devs said (I think) if your FPS drops below 30 then your units wont function properly (shooting, reloading and target acquisition)

Ahh. Idk then. My rig is pretty good rtx3080 48 Gb of ram and my fps always seems to drop idk why

nope. my fps is great at game start. about 25-30 mins in is when I get big performance drops. and turning down graphics doesn't help.

My FPS is always high, I rarely drop below 50 and have the same issue.

I never had this issue on previous patches even when my FPS did drop to 20 on old hardware

Yeah the bloody crawlers run past 3 turrets to a guardtower and gets 3 hits before they even respond

We have tracked down the issue and its related to the Perception System

#

It kinda goes like this

#

The more units you have that can "See" & "Hear" the more traces that are required on a millisecond basis to update their senses

#

Because of how Ambient civilians work plus how close you are to 80 there aren't enough traces to go around anymore. Because of prespecified limits

#

Which causes random CERC units to stop being as perceptive of their environment

#

I,E Hearing/Seeing

#

This is also why when you go way over cap of 80 even if you have higher FPS and a good rig the engine will still "cap" out eventually

In terms of unit responsinveness

We are still testing and seeking a fix at the moment

There has been times where I have had only 3 Special Ops alive. the rest were on the ship, the remainder of the base was 1 engineer 3 guard towers and 2 MG turrets, the perception was still awful.

Is it not with all the sudden faction camps popping up too?

We have increased performance in your save file by 30-40% and we are pushing for more at the moment

@zinc stag Hello. I played a little. It's better than it was, but is't still very bad. Soldiers and vehicles are still not shooting at some zombies, they just can come and kill them. Also there is perfomance problems right now, game is lagging when multiple zombies coming. I got Ryzen 9 3900, 32GB RAM and rx6800, so it's not a my pc and game are not using all available resources. It's just laggin.

Here is save file. Look at left barricades. Some zombies are just standing there for a couple of seconds, or just freely moving at the soldiers.

We are investigating these save file give us a few days to resolve this.

We have located the problem and will be pushing out a small patch to address aspects of it. We are still profiling and hunting down these perception/fps issues

We believe the issue is related to the Spine Throwers that infected can build we found that in save files they were far exceeding the "safe" amount to spawn and they were taking away resources from the CERC in terms of hearing/seeing. We will be implementing a fix and pushing it out hopefully tonight
