If the issue happened in Gartic Phone, you may need to wait a short time before rejoining the room. The game temporarily holds your spot in case of reconnection or connection issues. If you try to open it in another tab, the system may interpret it as a second access and show that you are already in the room

Hi! Members should be able to use the /restart command. Staff members have permission to set up the bot in a channel, and unless a staff member runs /gartic end, members can restart the game anytime.

I looked at the gartic bot instructions from that link and it is not as clear as the original server instructions how to solve your problem.

The main way to solve your problem is to make a new server role called GarticMod. Anyone you give this role will have access to all of the gartic bot commands like skip and hint

One option is to use another bot to let your members pick this role

The role does not require any special permissions, it just needs to be spelled correctly. Even though it is called GarticMod it will not grant access to anything unusual in your server.

One of the main reasons that this server does not allow this role is because anyone would be able to stop the bot or change the topic which in a big chaotic server would be a pain. It has the downside that no-one can use hints or skips.

Also, be aware that members with the GarticMod role are able to start the game in any channel. This might spam chats that are intended for other uses.

You can fix that by blocking permission for the bot to see any channels except your bot channel.

Gartic wants the gartic bot to be on every channel of this server so Julian is right, it would be a pain if people kept activating it everywhere here on this server.

I'm also experiencing the issue where my Gartic Phone page keeps refreshing every 3 seconds. I'm in the New York/New Jersey area, and I tried changing browsers and logging in on my phone while on a different network and still experienced this issue. The only thing that fixed my issue was turning on a VPN and changing my location. This indicates to me it might me a regional issue?

So in our server we have been experiencing this issue with the animals category of the Gartic Bot game where the guesses we’re making on the early levels like levels 1-10 it’ll put up an image of like a cow or a bull for example and we go through every possible option it could be but it keeps timing out and/or not recognizing our answers. We haven’t even been able to make it past level 9 of the animals category because of this issue. Is anyone else experiencing this issue or know how to fix it? We didn’t have this issue at all with the movies category, we got to level 99 of the movies category lol.

After running some tests, this issue may occur if the bot is missing certain permissions. In this case, the bot is able to start, but without all the required permissions, it can’t continue functioning properly, which is why only the initial message appears. And we can't let you discuss them here as this is a channel to report bugs. But keep trying to guess! Also, use the /hint and /skip commands (if you have permission to use them) in your favor. With time, you get used and your memory will be filled with random animals

"Hey guys, I’m reporting a serious issue. Currently, the rooms are becoming unplayable because of a massive bot spam (scripts) that floods the servers with fake accounts. We can’t even kick them because the rooms literally freeze or glitch out once they join.

I’ve attached some screenshots showing the mess. This is getting out of hand, especially in the Arabic servers. It seems the current security protocols aren't catching these scripts at all.

I strongly suggest you guys update the Arabic server infrastructure and improve the bot detection/socket protection to prevent these automated entries into both public and private rooms. It’s ruining the experience for everyone. Please look into this ASAP!"

Removing chat has not fixed it . Most of the hate speech and trolling happens in the answers area already because only people logged in could use the chat.

Users can still write hate speech and call them selves horrible names with no consequence so there has been no added protection or solutions added to remove illegal content yet.

There is a role called GarticMod that you need to make. Give it to anyone who wants to use the commands. Without it they can only use the g restart one. The role doesn't need any permissions only the name is important.

It also works for anyone who has the kick privilege I think which is why it works for you. You don't want to give that to everyone though haha

The suggestion channel used to allow discussion but I am guessing that the team got sick of never ending discussions from people who always want the last word and so now discussion is closed for everyone. I probably should not discuss it here either because this is the bugs channel not the closed discuss suggestions channel.

Resentment is a bad name for a channel when you want only polite constructive discussion. Discussion is unlikely to be allowed no matter how you frame it but framing it as a criticize the team channel will definitely get cancelled immediately. No-one wants that.

By the way, if your server is using the new Slash commands, you can go to Server settings > Integrations > GarticBOT and grant individual command permissions to certain roles and individual users. The GarticMod role allows access to admin commands like g.gartic and g.end and I assume you don't want people to start the game in a random channel because that'll spam the chat a lot. So using slash commands is my recommended solution here.

I also remembered another player had a disguise and called himself Death Too All and I believe him because he has the same avatar as a player I know. That's not a bug :P but the merged players is.

There's an issue going on, and that is I'm unable to connect to any room in the game. It seems to be worldwide since the English room list has no ongoing games, and the usually noisy Turkish area is a lot more quiet. Not even creating a new room would solve the problem. Well, I entered a name, chose an avatar and went to rooms where I selected one. A windows popped up saying: You are already playing on this device. I went to main page and refreshed it. Then, in the nickname bar there was username of somebody else and his avatar.

Uh, dunno if i'm meant to put this here but just before when i tried to sign into my account, the whole main screen became an asian language (me being english), but still logged me in. I didnt understand anything so i just refreshed the page and it put me into some random persons account. I have no idea what happened? I logged out of it and tried to log back into my account again and it seems fine now but just thought id put this here incase somebody knows what happened. Im using PC.

Ok so I cleared all that data with it set to "all time" instead of "24 hours" and the problem persists, If i try play anonymously it says im already playing on this device and if i sign in, it forces me into google account That i dont want to use, if i log out and try sign in again it puts me back in the same account without option to select another account. It also replaces my language with an asian one which im unsure of. But yes the anonymous account unfortunately still gives me the "You are already playing on this device" message. It's alright Im in no rush to play at the moment and I appreciate the fast responses! Goodluck with fixing the issue also
