We all have that movie from our childhoods or adolescence that hasn't really aged that well. Maybe it was not all that good in concept or execution. Or maybe it just wasn't popular with critics or audiences and time has not done it any favors. But if you own it or catch it when it's on streaming or TV, you just got to watch it.
And this is not watching and enjoying it ironically ("It's so stupid, I got to enjoy it." or "Oh, how horrible can this movie be?!"). These are the movies that are of lesser quality but you genuinely enjoy them every time with not a hint of irony or sarcasm. Like, you felt it was made to appeal to you and it brings you comfort every time.
And who knows? It may be the craziest of movies with what may be juvenile story matter to some, but it brings you out of darkness into a secure and happy place every time you see it. What I want people here to do is share what kind of movie leaves you with those feelings of warmth and comfort even if it may not be one's cup of tea.
I'll go first to sorta break the ice. My comfort move of questionable quality: Thomas and the Magic Railroad (2000).
